Gemwhirl
A colourful match-3 game in your browser: swap gems, line up threes, set off cascades and special gems. Hundreds of levels with goals: points, collecting gems and breaking ice.
Swap neighbouring gems to line up at least three of a kind in a row or column. Matched gems disappear, new ones fall from above, and when they form new matches by themselves a cascade multiplies your points.
Four gems in a line make a striped gem that clears a whole row or column, an L or T shape makes a bomb, and five in a line make a rainbow orb that takes a whole colour. Swapping two special gems gives even stronger combos.
Every level has its own goal and move limit: score points, collect gems of the given colours or break all the ice. Moves you have left turn into a bonus, and your score earns up to three stars. Each colour has its own shape, so gems are easy to tell apart. The game runs in the browser on phones and computers with nothing to install, and your progress is saved in the browser.
How to play
- Drag a gem with your finger or mouse onto a neighbouring square — or tap two neighbouring gems one after the other.
- A swap that doesn't make a match goes back and costs no move. If you wait a moment, the game highlights a hint.
- At the top you see your moves, the level goal and the score bar with stars. The menu lets you pick a completed level, the options set sound and language.
