Mahjong

Classic mahjong solitaire in your browser: remove pairs of matching free tiles from eight layouts, from the Pyramid to the Turtle with 144 tiles. Every deal can be solved.

Clear all tiles from the board, in pairs. A tile can be taken when nothing lies on it and its left or right side is open. Identical tiles match — dots, bamboo and characters with the same number, the same winds and dragons — and any flower matches any flower, any season any season.

Choose from eight layouts: Turtle (the classic 144 tiles), Pyramid, Fortress, Cross, Bridge, Butterfly, Stairs and Flower. Every deal is built backwards, so it can always be finished — you just have to choose the order well. When you get stuck, a hint, undo or shuffle helps.

Blocked tiles are dimmed and a counter shows how many pairs you can remove right now. Your game in progress, statistics and best times for each layout are saved in the browser, and the game runs on phones and computers with nothing to install, in eleven languages.

How to play

  • Tap or click two matching free tiles to remove them.
  • Undo (U) takes back the last pair, Hint (H) shows a pair to remove, Shuffle (S) rearranges the remaining tiles.
  • On a phone held upright, wide layouts are turned so the tiles are bigger.
  • The magnifier next to pause, a two-finger pinch or the mouse wheel enlarges the tiles; drag the enlarged board with your finger or mouse.
